FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Kansas City-based company hopes this is the start of an exciting tradition.
Riverside, Mo. (Feb. 27, 2020) - Hi5 Furniture Inc., an award-winning manufacturer of high-quality, hand-crafted commercial furniture, announced the winner of its 2020 Photo Competition. Jordan Hawes of Ayers Saint Gross Architects in Baltimore submitted a picture of Hi5’s Coby Apron Bar Height Tables in Solid Wood Table Tops and Green Bases. The picture was taken in the Bridge Hall Apartments at the Ringling College of Arts & Design in Sarasota, Florida.
With the win, Hawes takes home a $1100 cash prize, as does Chris Ressa of Design Lines, the sales representative for the territory. Along with the cash prize, Hi5 will feature Hawe’s photos on its website.
“We’re always looking for fun ways to engage customers and sales reps, and to find ways for them to showcase their enthusiasm for our products,“ said Dawn Yates-Yates, President and CEO of Hi5. “Our enthusiasm grew when submissions started coming in and we were able to see the ways our customers share our passion.”
Hi5 received more than 140 photo submissions, representing 45 projects from sales reps, interior designers, specifiers, furniture dealerships and hospitality industry professionals. A panel of judges (internal and external representatives) selected the winner. To view all photo submissions, check out our Idea Starters, online at hi5furniture.com/idea-starters.
“With all the submissions we received, it was difficult to decide on a winner, but we loved Jordan’s photo, and hope it inspires others to share more in the future,” said Yates.
Yates hopes to continue to build momentum and showcase Hi5’s tables in a variety of industries. The company plans to offer another competition with an even larger cash prize in Fall 2020. She says, “The whole process has been exciting for our team and our customers. It’s a nice reminder that we’re making products that provide both value and inspiration.”
