SUMMARY:

Hi5 is a manufacturer of high-quality commercial furniture. As a part of the production team, you are responsible for creating amazing products according to Hi5 brand standards. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operate Press Brake to form sheet metal to customer specifications as laid out in the work order
  • Set and adjust pressure and tool clearance.
  • Position workpiece against backstop or manually align layout marks to bend.
  • Set and adjust CNC back gauges as well as manual back gauges to specified dimensions and angles.
  • Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments.
  • Read and understand blueprints prior to starting the position
  • Ability to check your own work against a print and work order
  • Set up your work cell by locating parts, gathering materials using work orders.
  • Create and assemble parts following drawings from engineer team, work orders, and SOP’s (standard operating procedures)
  • Make repairs using power tools and the knowledge gained by experience to ensure that all products meet Hi5’s high standards
  • Maintain hand tools, equipment, inventory, and any necessary supplies
  • Package steel components from powder coat line and hardware to couple with table tops
  • Completes work orders paperwork, label, and stage components for Shipping Department. Materials are moved by hand, hand truck, cranes, or forklift
  • Ability to cross-train in multiple areas and work in small team setting.
  • Maintain clean organized work cell
  • Will be required to perform other tasks as requested, assigned, or directed.
  • Weekends, and overtime as required based on business needs.

  • Experience with reading a tape measure and fabrication drawings.
  • Experience with driving a forklift, operating a table saw, chop saw, drill guns, nail gun, rivet guns, etc.
  • Manually lift and move heavy components repetitively; up to but not limited 50+ pounds
  • No felons allowed.
  • Experience: 1 year in Manufacturing Factory setting preferred
  • Must be good with or the ability to learn how to operate a computer
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
